Oral Presentation  (2^nd Bimester)

                                                                                                       

Theme: The perfect PLACE TO STAY (in Brazil*)  

Objective:To talk about the hotel / resort you recommend to a foreign                          visitor.                                                       

Time of presentation: 5 minutes per student.       

Steps for the presentation

1 . Select a HOTEL / RESORT in a special place and describe it (with details), you have to convince people to choose it to spend their holidays/ vacation.

2. Explore their website and prepare your presentation (THROUGH IT):

·      Where is your ideal hotel (state - city)?

·      What  kind of accomodations are there there?

·      Suggest an accomodation and describe the bedroom.

·      Is it old or modern? Talk about decorations.

·      What type of facilities the guests  can have in their bedroom?

·      What activities are the guests going to have for fun?

·      What are the extra activities the hotel offer?

·      Talk about reservations.

·      Explain how payment can be done;

General orientations    

- Don´t read your presentation;

- Make sentences with your own words;

- Practice the pronunciation of the sentences;

- Prepare your presentation BY SHOWING THE WEBSITE.

- Write some keywords to guide your presentation.

Theme: My daily routine.

Objective:  To talk about your typical day during the week and at the weekend.

Time of presentation: About 2 minutes

Steps for the presentation

-          Compose about 10 simple sentences, with your own words, about your routine (see the example  from page 30);

-          Prepare a poster/power point presentation with some keywords and some pictures;

-          Don´t read your presentation ;

-          Use the keywords in the poster to help you remember what to say.

         Presentation guide:

0          1.  What is your name?

0          2.  How old are you?

0          3.  What is your occupation?

0          4.  What do you do...

            * in the morning ? ( 2 activities + time you do them)

            * in the afternoon ? (2 activities + place where you do them)

            * in the evening  (2 activities + time you do them)

0           5.  What do you do at the weekend ? (2 activities + time and place you do them)

Theme:

Objective: To describe what people are doing.

Time of presentation:  about 3 minutes per student.

Number of sentences:  minimum 8

Steps for the presentation

1 . Select diferent images of you or someone else doing fun activities,

2.  Make a poster or a Power Point Presentation

3. DESCRIBE THE ACTIVITIES saying the sentences.

 

Example: I’m riding a bike with a good friend.

 

He’s listening to music.

 

General orientations    

- Don´t read your presentation ;

- Use the keywords from chapter 11 to help you compose your presentation.

- Prepare your presentation in a poster, use the keywords in the poster to guide your presentation.
